Artist Greg Benson ~ American Iron

The whistle from the diesel locomotive echoes through the valley while people gather at a beautiful riverside cabin. "American Iron" is a painting about the freedoms we enjoy in America, (Statue of Liberty hidden in the tree above the gazebo).

Freedoms hard won by previous Americans, (hidden image above the cabin of Marines raising the American flag on Iwo Jima). Talk around the grill includes stories of an annual pilgrimage to the Black Hills of South Dakota, (Mount Rushmore hidden in the sky).

The painting "American Iron" is not so much about the machines we build but the success previous Americans had giving us the freedoms we enjoy today, including the freedom to ride!
